Atlanta’s average gasoline price has crossed the $4 mark, adding another cost to the daily commute.
A Stacker report using AAA data put the metro Atlanta average at $4.03 per gallon as of September 14. Georgia’s statewide average was $4.02.

What changed in a week?
The Atlanta figure was 13 cents higher than a week earlier and $1.15 above the year-earlier average.
For a simple 15-gallon example, $4.03 per gallon works out to $60.45. That is $1.95 more than the same amount at the prior week’s implied $3.90 average.
