Augusta Ranks Amongst “Saddest Cities” in America

By GAFollowers @GAFollowers · On March 16, 2017

Augusta is back at the bottom of another survey, this time we were found to be one of the unhappiest cities in America.

According to WalletHub, Augusta ranked number 148 out of 150 cities. Only two cities were truly unhappier, those being Cleveland, Ohio and Detroit, Michigan.

In fact, Columbus, Georgia was happier than we are but not by much. They ranked number 145.

Atlanta fared better, ranking at number 83. Charlotte ranked better than Atlanta at number 41. The town of Fremont, California ranked number 1 on the list as the happiest city in America.

In order to determine which cities were happiest and unhappiest, analysts “compared 150 of the largest cities across three key dimensions.” Those dimensions were emotional and physical well-being, income and employment, as well as community and environment.

Check out how other cities fared in WalletHub’s survey here.
