A new HBO series is set to begin filming in Georgia. It is produced by Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions, J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot Productions and Warner Bros. Peele is quickly carving out his name in the industry as a horror mastermind. This new project falls in line with where Jordan seems to be the most comfortable.
Lovecraft Country is an upcoming drama horror television series based on Matt Ruff’s novel of the same name. It follows “Atticus Black as he joins up with his friend Letitia and his Uncle George to embark on a road trip across 1950s Jim Crow America in search of his missing father. This begins a struggle to survive and overcome both the racist terrors of white America and the terrifying monsters that could be ripped from a Lovecraft paperback.”
