Georgia Man Jailed for DUI Crash that Killed Wife After Wedding

By Jeremy Jones @GAFollowers · On March 4, 2015

CANTON, Ga. — A north Georgia man has pleaded guilty in a DUI crash that killed his wife on the couple’s wedding day.

The Marietta Daily Journal reports (http://bit.ly/1DNNLar) 29-year-old Ryan Quinton pleaded guilty Tuesday to vehicular homicide in Cherokee County Superior Court.

Investigators have said Quinton was driving drunk Dec. 30, 2013 when he lost control of the vehicle. Quinton’s wife, 25-year-old Kali Shay Dobson of Ball Ground was killed in the crash. Quinton was arrested again for drunk driving in May 2014 and pleaded guilty in that case as well.

A judge sentenced Quinton to 15 years with the first two to three months in detention. Quinton is ordered to spend the rest of his sentence on probation and is barred from having a driver’s license for at least five years.
