An Atlanta robbery survivor is describing his recovery as police seek the person accused of knocking him unconscious on Baker Street. The interview aired in FOX 5’s September 17 reporting; the attack happened July 25, not this week.
Police said the assault occurred around 10:40 p.m. near Centennial Park. The suspect allegedly left and then returned to take items from the unconscious man.
The survivor requested privacy
The man asked the station to withhold his real name and obscure his face. He said he has no memory of the attack and required emergency surgery at Grady after a traumatic brain injury.
“Whoever called EMS on me, I thank God for them,” he said.
Surveillance images are part of the appeal, and a $5,000 reward was advertised. The station’s report did not identify the person who called for help.
