Blacklight Slide Comes To Georgia (RECAP)

Blacklight Slide Comes To Georgia (RECAP)

It’s lit… literally.

Blacklight Slide, which claimed to be an experience like no other, came to the Atlanta Motor Speedway last weekend. This event is centered around the spectacle of neon/UV lights. Many families, of all ages and ethnicities, came out to experience the gigantic slides with glow-in-the-dark water careening down them.

Now sliding is not mandatory, but it is definitely recommended. Nothing like the euphoria of floating down a water slide and letting your other senses be overwhelmed by light and music. Speaking of music, there was a huge dance floor with some of the best music from the world’s top DJ’s. Not only was this a chance to celebrate/show off your amazing dance moves, but to get drenched by a hose full of the infamous glow-in-the-dark water as well.  The black lights scattered everywhere had everyone’s skin glowing while they raged well into the night.

With their hometown in Phoenix, AZ, Blacklight Slide has made it their mission to give back to children and families in the community. They started doing this by understanding the sad statistic that 1 in 3 families are affected by childhood illness. By using passion and drive, they worked with Children’s Miracle Network to give back and dedicate awareness to childhood illness. A portion of the proceeds go to a local charity in the host city during each event. In return, all you have to do is complete these 4 easy steps to sign up for these events:

  1. Get registered ($20) yes that cheap for so much fun
  2. Make sure to wear a white shirt or comfy swimsuit.
  3. Grab an inner tube (Max size is 36-inches) Or buy one of their special edition glow tubes.
  4. Have fun!

Pro Tip: All events require waivers available on the  website to print and save time.
