Carly Craven Loves Lana Del Rey

By Jeremy Jones @GAFollowers · On January 9, 2015

Carly Craven, a South Effingham County high school student in Effingham County, Georgia recently passed away in a serious car accident. Her classmates and locals from Effingham described her as a sweet playful person. She was 16, a junior and played on the high school basketball team.

She had the best presence of anyone you’d ever meet and always tried to make you laugh.

Classmates then took to Twitter to obtain a goal that she would’ve loved to see. Being noticed from hit singer Lana Del Rey. Students explain that she loved Lana Del Rey’s music unconditionally and was supposed to attend her concert in June of this year.

Search the hashtag, #CarlyCraven to see that amount of support she’s receiving and please help spread the word!

UPDATE:

A Twitter user got in contact with Lana Del Rey, here’s what she had to say:

Based on my research, after a property foreclosure home is bought at an auction, it is common for any borrower to be able to still have any remaining balance on the mortgage loan. There are many lenders who try to have all costs and liens cleared by the following buyer. On the other hand, depending on particular programs, laws, and state guidelines there may be several loans which are not easily resolved through the shift of lending options. Therefore, the duty still rests on the lender that has received his or her property in foreclosure. Many thanks sharing your notions on this site.

I’m Carly’s dad. I want to address a few things here. #1 overdoses don’t cause severe head injuries they cause liver damage#2 it was an accident not a suicide. Read the police report they cost 2 dollars you can go to the Effingham sheriffs office if your so concerned with the manner of her passing. How about some respect for us in our time of mourning. No one but myself and my wife know the circumstances of the accident. We were there. If you weren’t there then I would appreciate you to leave us be and let us mourn the death of our child in peace

ya’ll have no respect at all. Carly was the happiest loving person i knew. She would be stoked if she knew Lana Del Rey said the things she said. Everyone don’t know what happened but for the people who did could understand why they aren’t telling everyone the real story. its not easy telling people your daughter jumped out of a car and killed herself. Her mom has to go through the heartache everyday thinking “why did i let her do it”? She didn’t “let” her do it she had no idea she was rushing her to the hospital so that she WOULD’NT die. Rest easy pretty girl #CarlymfCraven

Unfortunately cause of death is important. Reason #1. We all look to our media in providing truth. #3 People of all ages need to be educated on suicide. These children need to understand that one should not make someone a celebrity when suicide is cause of death. It creates a misconception to some people who are seeking attention. There has been other students who have been killed in actual auto accidents that did not receive this much media attention and that could send a bad message to other children and/or families. As I feel pain for this child’s family and friends and will pray for them all to heal. Everyone needs to remember no one knows a person’s pain they carry inside ones mind. Please everyone educate and talk to your children about suicide and let’s start today on suicide prevention.

Wow are y’all really concerned how this child died. Are y’all really in a debate here. This child’s family is still grieving and probably reading these comments and thinking like is this really what y’all are thinking about my child. It is nobodys business how she died, not every car accident is reported if the family chooses not to and to the ones saying That she overdosed, well y’all she really be ashamed of yourself. It don’t matter if you really know what happened, the people who didn’t don’t need to know that. Nobody really knows but Carly and God and well neither one of them are here. So y’all just need to let this girl r.I.p. and let this family g.I.p.

How sad when it becomes more about how this young girl lost her life, than the fact that a beautiful, young life is no longer with us! For those of you running your mouth and trying to get more out of a story, come spend a day at South Effingham High School with the students who have lost a friend. Maybe after seeing their tears, your perspective would change.

It doesn’t really matter how she died. The point is that this child is gone & many people are grieving this tragic loss btw she did infact die from a car accident so stop spreading rumors. Her loss is hard enough.

Does it matter what she died from, she was a 15 year old girl with her whole life in front of her. And a tremendous tragedy to her parents, family and friends. Show some kind of respect.

As a sibling of one of her friends, it was indeed a car accident. A terrible loss nonetheless.

Because it’s not true. It wasn’t a car accident. People shouldn’t post things that they don’t know are true.

          • anon says: January 9, 2015 at 10:36 PM

A car crash is what it says in the story. Usually if there is a car crash of a teen death it will be on the news but not one story appears on internet. Now it may have been an accident that occurred in a car but i believe if her passing is a private matter then thats would should be said instead of saying a car crash because there is no evidence of that to back it up…..

          • Leo says: January 10, 2015 at 8:00 AM

Does it matter that much to you how she passed? Whatever it was, her death does not need to be mocked by thoughtless prick such as yourself. Someone’s child has been lost, this isn’t some political ruse to hide wrongdoing, to gain a position in office.

Her parents were trying to take her to hospital .she got out of car and that is how she was killed such a tragedy and loss ..my prayers are with the family

Yeap no record of car wreck & the Effingham county is good at hiding it’s secrets.

the overdose is what caused something in her brain where she couldnt control anything. so it was the overdose because she overdosed on tylenol.
