Cobb County police are investigating several recent incidents involving damaged, painted and stolen Flock Safety license-plate cameras. Authorities said the cases are separate from an earlier arrest involving cameras damaged by fire.
At Oregon Park, black paint was used to cover the lenses of two cameras. Police also responded to Due West Elementary School, where a camera pole had been removed from the ground and damaged before the camera was taken.
Investigators identified Niccomedo Annan as one of three people accused in the recent vandalism and theft investigation. Annan was released from jail, and police said they were still trying to identify two other suspects.
In the earlier case, police arrested Colby Williams after cameras were set on fire in East Cobb. Authorities have not said the latest incidents affected active police investigations.
All charges are allegations, and anyone accused is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
