DeKalb County police are investigating after an infant was found dead Tuesday afternoon in Decatur.
Officers responded to the 300 block of Eastwyck Circle around 3 p.m. after receiving a report of a possible infant death, according to Atlanta News First.

Police have released few details
Authorities have not publicly identified the infant or released information about the cause or circumstances of the death. The medical examiner’s office is involved in the investigation.
Police said a man who was present at the location was found to have outstanding failure-to-appear warrants from a separate case and was taken into custody on those warrants.
Investigators emphasized that the man’s arrest is not related to the infant-death investigation.
Investigation remains active
The case remains in its early stages. Police have not announced an arrest tied to the infant’s death or said whether they suspect foul play.
Any determination about the cause and manner of death will depend on the medical examiner and the continuing police investigation.
