The Fox Theatre has opened a dedicated content studio backstage, giving the Atlanta landmark a new home for interviews, podcasts, video production and media appearances as it approaches its 2029 centennial.
The theater converted an underused rehearsal room into the studio. The space is designed to help artists, historians, community members and Fox staff capture stories connected to the venue without leaving the building.
Building an archive for the next century
Material recorded in the studio can feed social videos, longer interviews, podcasts and the Fox Theatre’s permanent archive. The venue plans to launch an original content slate this fall, using the room to connect current programming with nearly a century of Atlanta history.
The project is part of a wider effort to document the people and memories that shaped the Fox. The theater is also inviting the public to submit personal memories through its Your Fox Story portal.
Centennial planning takes shape
The Fox opened in 1929 and will celebrate 100 years in 2029. By adding production capability inside the building now, the theater can gather oral histories and behind-the-scenes material well before the centennial celebration begins.
