By Jeremy Jones @GAFollowers · On September 18, 2018

In wake of an Aug. 18 traffic stop in Wilkinson County that led to the arrest of Milledgeville Police Chief Dray Swicord on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol/less safe, he will be suspended for two weeks without pay beginning this Saturday.

The 52-year-old Swicord, who has been employed with the Milledgeville Police Department since 1986, also will face other disciplinary actions, according to a press release issued Wednesday by City Manager Barry Jarrett.

Swicord has been on administrative leave with pay since his arrest by a trooper with the Georgia State Patrol post in Dublin.
