Two teenagers were hospitalized after being shot Tuesday night in Atlanta’s Glenrose Heights neighborhood, police said.
Officers responded just before 7:10 p.m. to a home near the intersection of Oak Drive and Empire Boulevard, where they found a 16-year-old girl and a 17-year-old boy with gunshot wounds, Atlanta News First reported.
Both teenagers were taken to the hospital
Police said the girl was in stable condition. The boy was described as alert, conscious and breathing when officers provided the initial update.
Authorities did not immediately release additional information about the teenagers’ injuries or identify either person.
Police have not said what led to the shooting
Investigators had not announced a suspect, arrest or motive in the latest report. Police also had not said whether the teenagers were inside or outside the home when the gunfire occurred.
The case remains under investigation, and the next updates are expected to clarify what happened immediately before the shooting and whether detectives identify anyone responsible.
