A Haralson County motorcyclist is searching for the driver who hit him from behind and left the scene—and his surviving camera may hold clues. Richard Teal described the September 3 crash in a WSB-TV report published early Friday, September 18.
The crash is not a new overnight incident. The new development is Teal’s interview and public appeal.
The recording continued afterward
Teal told the station he noticed an erratically driven car behind him while returning from a friend’s home. He took out his 360-degree camera before the collision.
“I never saw it coming,” he said. “He hit me from behind.”
The footage captured the aftermath and a 911 call. Teal reported a broken hand, three breaks in his lower back and road rash.

He has been reviewing different angles and slowing the recording to look for identifying details. Buchanan police are seeking information about the vehicle, according to WSB.
How to contact investigators
The City of Buchanan’s official directory lists its Police Department at 770-646-5246. Anyone with information about this crash can reference Teal’s name and the September 3 date when contacting the department.
The directory separately lists 911 for emergencies. The department’s published number is a contact route, not confirmation that a particular vehicle has been identified.
