Thousands lined the streets, braving a sweltering, late summer, Saturday morning, to watch and cheer at Dragon Con’s pièce de résistance. The annual parade, a chance to marvel at some of Dragon Con’s finest cosplays and honorary guests for the weekend. More importantly, it is a representation of what Dragon Con represents – an all inclusive melting pot of wonderment, excitement, and fun.
From Star Wars to Black Panther, Overwatch, Netherworld, and more. If it’s a part of the pop culture zeitgeist, you probably saw them braving the Georgia heat to showcase their hard work. The parade has grown to be shown on the CW, but NOTHING compares to watching it live. Especially seeing the kids’ faces light up as their heroes walk by and adults recall the memories of their youth. Easily some of the best free entertainment in Atlanta very year!
