Shawty Lo’s death was already a tragic story that touched many Atlanta natives, but now it seems this story is only getting even more heart wrenching.
Shawty Lo was killed in a car accident last month after he was ejected from his vehicle but the two unidentified women in the car with him escaped with minor injuries and, allegedly, some free cash.
Shawty Lo’s autopsy report was released on Monday and revealed some concerning details about the rapper’s dead body.
For one, there were signs that Shawty Lo was under the influence at the time of fatal accident and secondly, his body was allegedly looted by the women who survived the crash.
According to the report, the women asked police officers for permission to search Shawty Lo’s body and take anything they could find. While the report doesn’t specifically say the officers gave them the go-ahead, it suggests that they did nothing to stop the women from looting the dead father’s corpse.
It’s an allegation that would cause anyone to be furious with both the women and the police officers but Shawty Lo’s daughter is taking issue with another third party—anyone who believes her father was on drugs during the crash.
Despite the discovery of a prescription pill bottle filled with Percocet and Vicodin and the strong smell of alcohol that the Fulton County Medical Examiner claims came from the rapper’s body upon opening it, one of Shawty Lo’s daughters is upset with the public for giving the reports any attention at all.
“All these folks up in our family business,” she says at the start of a short Instagram video.
She goes on to say that even if pills were found in her father’s car, it’s simply “none of y’alls business.”
She says that everyone is concerned about the wrong things and refers to the reports as nothing more than “rumors.”
In the caption for the video she also states that their family is focused on getting “#justiceformyking.”
While it may seem like an unusual reaction to news that two women may have looted her father’s body, it seems like Shawty Lo’s daughter is focused solely on the allegations that drugs and alcohol may have contributed to her father’s death.
In that respect, it doesn’t seem too strange that one of Shawty Lo’s children is frustrated that some people have been focusing more on drug allegations rather than remembering that 11 kids lost their father and Atlanta has lost a legend.
