Shaky Knees starts Friday at Piedmont Park, and the festival’s regular ticket inventory is already gone. The official website lists the September 18–20, 2026, event as sold out, directing anyone still searching to verified resale or a waitlist.
For ticket holders, the next step is less about watching ticket announcements and more about getting ready for three days of music. A little preparation now can save time at the entrance and make it easier to catch the performances you came for.
A different headliner each night
The announced headliners are The Strokes on Friday, Twenty One Pilots on Saturday and Gorillaz on Sunday. The lineup also includes LCD Soundsystem, Wu-Tang Clan, Turnstile, The Prodigy, Fontaines D.C., Pavement and Jimmy Eat World, according to FOX 5’s lineup coverage.
With more than 60 bands on the broader bill, there will be choices to make. Compare the official set times before setting your group’s schedule. Pick a few performances that are nonnegotiable, then leave room for discovering an artist or taking a break rather than treating every available minute as another required stop.

Still looking for a ticket?
Start with the resale and waitlist links on the festival’s own site. A waitlist registration is not a confirmed ticket, and resale prices and availability can change. Check the admission day, ticket tier, delivery method and final total before purchasing.
Do not treat a social-media screenshot as proof that a seller can transfer a valid ticket. Keep the transaction within the official service you choose, and retain the receipt and transfer instructions. The festival separately advertises late-night shows; check each show’s ticket requirements instead of assuming a festival wristband includes admission.
The bag rules are specific
Under the festival’s September 10 bag-policy update, clutches and fanny packs measuring 6 by 9 inches or less do not need to be clear, but may have only one pocket. Larger bags must be clear and fit the published 12-by-6-by-12-inch limit. Hydration packs are permitted empty, with no more than two main compartments and one smaller compartment.
The separate allowed-items list permits empty reusable water bottles, blankets and basic point-and-shoot cameras without detachable lenses. Camera accessories such as tripods and selfie sticks are restricted. Check that page before bringing equipment, even when a similar item was allowed at a different concert.

Activate the wristband and save the map
The official festival guide links wristband activation, the current map, the performance schedule, accessibility information and directions. Activation also allows an emergency contact to be added. Use that guide for the current entrance and rideshare arrangements rather than an old map from the festival’s previous venue.
Save a copy of the schedule, choose a meeting point and agree on what happens when somebody wants to see a different set. Charge your phone before leaving and keep enough battery for the trip home. For groups, a clear departure plan matters just as much as choosing the first band.
Build in time to eat, refill water and move between stages. Check the organizer’s latest updates before departure, especially if weather changes. This guide reflects information checked September 17; the linked festival pages remain the place for final operating instructions.
