There is a staggering list of things that Atlanta is known for and its vast collection of popular food destinations is certainly at top. Every year you hear rave reviews for hundreds of restaurants and food/wine festivals in the city. However, one meal that has never been a headliner in its own festival is BRUNCH. With ATL being a foodie city it almost seems unfathomable, right? That is until now. Atlanta Beer Festivals has partnered with the Atlanta Wine Party to bring the first ever brunch festival to the city of Atlanta this winter.

The Atlanta Brunch Festival will be held at Historic 4th Ward Park on Saturday, March 5, 2016. From 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. (11 a.m. start for VIPs) you can celebrate brunch with some of the city’s best restaurants in the brunch game and drink Bloody Marys, mimosas, beer or wine to wash it all down.

If you’ve followed us for the past few years, you’ve probably seen us mention at least one of ABF’s events every few months. They have quickly become the premium name for ALL beer festivals in the metro Atlanta area. So, why venture out from the norm with a brunch festival? I spoke with Mike DiLonardo, Director of Operations for Atlanta Beer Festivals, to learn more about his thought process behind creating this new event.

“We are so excited about this new event for a couple of reasons. First, we knew Atlanta liked brunch, but with the tremendous response to the Facebook event page, it appears Atlanta really LOVES brunch! Second, we are excited to work with so many great restaurants. Recruitment is still underway, but we are going to have a great lineup.”

As of now, Mike currently has restaurants such as, Ladybird Grove & Mess Hall, Another Broken Egg Cafe, D.B.A Barbecue, Venkman’s and Queen of Cream signed aboard with more to come! I will update the restaurants as they are announced!
