Atlanta Blockchain Week Includes HAT-a-thon

By Rick Limpert @RickRoswell · On September 27, 2018

Atlanta Blockchain Week is a collective week of events with collaboration of blockchain community organizations and startups that commences September 30th and runs until October 7th 2018. Georgia Blockchain Coalition, CyrptoRitas and Dignify are proud to be hosting this site and helping to organize while also putting on events during the Atlanta Blockchain Week. An event called HAT-a-thon aims to celebrate the contribution of Atlanta-area women to the blockchain, bitcoin and cryptocurrency industry.

Why a HAT-a-thon?

In an effort to increase the presence of women in technology, the HAT-a-thon Women’s Blockchain Brunch will include a Celebration Ceremony to recognize women in the field. Women are said to be accustomed to wearing many hats, most without acknowledgement or recognition. They would like to take a little time to transform that ideal by recognizing at least two of those “HATS.” Most women wear a lot of hats whether you may wear any of these hats; entrepreneur, counselor, coworker, daughter, sister, friend, wife, mother, aunt, grandma, neighbor, etc.

HAT-a-thon Women’s Blockchain Brunch will take place on Saturday October 6 between 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Blockchain Chamber of Commerce (3190 Northeast Expressway NE Atlanta, GA). The brunch will include favorites like Mimosas, great food, lively music and more. The event is free to attend, visit their page on Eventbrite for more information or if you are interested in registering for the event.

If you would like more information on the full list of summits, meetups and events for Atlanta Blockchain Week visit their website at www.atlblockchainweek.com.
