One of the Atlanta Police Department’s most wanted auto-crime suspects is in custody after officers spotted him walking in a southwest Atlanta roadway, police said.
Officers arrested 20-year-old Keshaun Mitchell on Sept. 28 near the 1300 block of Donnelly Avenue SW. According to FOX 5 Atlanta, Mitchell had been included on the APD Auto Crimes Unit’s Top 5 Most Wanted list.

Police say he had several active warrants
Investigators had issued a be-on-the-lookout alert for Mitchell on Sept. 3 in connection with a vehicle break-in reported Aug. 30. Police said he had active felony warrants for theft by taking, two counts of entering an automobile and second-degree criminal damage to property.
Authorities also said Mitchell had two aggravated-assault warrants out of DeKalb County. Atlanta officers additionally charged him with being a pedestrian in the roadway and possession of marijuana at the time of his arrest.
The underlying cases remain open in court
Mitchell was taken to the Fulton County Jail. Police had not publicly released a bond amount or court date in the reporting reviewed.
The warrants and charges are allegations and do not establish guilt. Authorities also had not released details about the incidents behind the DeKalb County aggravated-assault warrants.
