A Winder woman is facing drug-trafficking charges after deputies in Stephens County say they found more than three ounces of suspected methamphetamine in a pickup truck carrying two children.
Deputies and Georgia Bureau of Investigation authorities stopped 33-year-old Carolyn Nicole Vinson on Sept. 30 after they saw a black Ford pickup drift out of its lane near Old Liberty Hill Road, according to FOX 5 Atlanta.

Deputies say suspected meth and cash were recovered
Authorities said Vinson did not have her driver’s license and was wanted for a felony probation violation. When deputies attempted to search the truck and remove two children from the back seat, they allege she became physically aggressive and fought with officers.
During the vehicle search, deputies said they recovered about 3.1 ounces of suspected methamphetamine packaged in multiple plastic bags, along with $396 in cash.
The children were released to a family member
The two children were released into the custody of a family member. Authorities have not released their ages.
Vinson faces charges including trafficking in methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute and possession of controlled substances near a school, along with hindering-law-enforcement counts and traffic citations. The charges are allegations and do not establish guilt.
