Three swings turned a three-run deficit into an Atlanta win Tuesday night.
The Braves beat the Cubs 6–3 at Wrigley Field on September 15, getting two-run home runs from Ronald Acuña Jr., Ozzie Albies and Drake Baldwin. The result also gave Martín Pérez his 100th career win, a milestone confirmed by the Braves’ official MLB site.
How Atlanta came back
Chicago built a 3–0 lead before Acuña homered in the sixth inning. Albies put Atlanta ahead in the seventh, and Baldwin added insurance in the ninth, according to the Associated Press game recap carried by CBS Sports.
Pérez worked six innings and allowed three runs, two earned. Raisel Iglesias finished with a scoreless ninth and earned his 33rd save.
Where the result left the Braves
Atlanta improved to 89–63. The AP report put the Braves’ NL East lead at 5½ games over Philadelphia after Tuesday’s games. Those standings describe the end of September 15, not a live table.
