Head coach for Georgia Southern football, Jeff Monken, has left to pursue a job at West Point as Army’s head coach. Monken has agreed to a six year contract with Army. As a former assistant with Navy, Army’s biggest rival, Monken looks to end Army’s twelve year losing streak against the Midshipmen.
Coach Monken’s overall record with the Eagles is 38 wins and 16 losses. One of those wins being the 26-20 victory over the University of Florida. He has also led Georgia Southern to three separate FCS semi-final appearances.
