One-handed, Zach Hodskins, Makes Debut for Florida Basketball

By Brad Smith · On November 16, 2014

A Milton High School graduate, Zach Hodskins, made his debut for the Florida Gators in their win over William and Mary on Friday. The 6’4” walk-on played for two minutes and attempted one shot.

Born without a left hand or forearm, that did not stop Hodskins from becoming a sharpshooter playing for the Milton Eagles and eventually being added to the roster of one of the top basketball programs in the country.

The buzz over this college freshman started his senior year at Milton when videos of this inspirational player went viral. The video was ran by the head coach of the Gators, Billy Donovan, he then offered Hodskins a roster spot as a walk

Florida has arguably been one of the top programs in college basketball in the last decade. Coached by Billy Donovan, the Florida Gators have won back-to-back National Championships and have been to the NCAA Elite 8 the past three tournaments.
