Think Chipotle. Now, imagine that concept with artisanal pizza and you have Pizza Crosta!

Recently opened as of May 2015, Sam Abdullah and the team who brought you Buckhead Pizza Company are now bringing a build-your-own pizza concept to Atlanta. Pizza Crosta is conveniently located in the Prado Shopping Center on Roswell Road in Sandy Springs.

Starting at a mere $7.99, the 10-inch pizzas can be customized by you with whatever fresh ingredients you desire or choose from their specialty selections if you’re running out of creativity (Just kidding! You’re all creative!).

Here’s how the Design Your Own Pizza process works:

Step #1 – Choose Your Crosta

The dough is made fresh daily and you can choose from three types: Traditional, Whole Wheat, or their award-winning Gluten-Free.

Step #2 – Choose Your Sauce

They have their Traditional Tomato sauce and their spicy version of that, or go with one of the other varieties: Basil Pesto, Creamy Alfredo, Herb Garlic & Olive Oil, Tangy BBQ, or Spicy Buffalo.

Step #3 – Choose Your Toppings

All of their pizzas come standard with their shredded mozzarella, but do be as liberal as you wish. Oh yeah… did I mention fresh ingredients? There is a whole lot to list, but let’s take a closer look at their Premium selection: Prosciutto, Genoa Salami, Slow Roasted Pork, Scrambled Eggs, and Shrimp.

YUM.

Once designed, the pizzas are then placed in an open-fire oven and within minutes, it’s ready for your indulgence. Let’s point out that one can create calzones and flatbreads as well. Not limited to just pizzas, calzones, and flatbreads, you can also customize your own salad with those similar, fine ingredients.

Because it’s a pizza joint, Pizza Crosta also offers Chicken Wings and Crosta Strips. Featured below is their combined mild buffalo and lemon pepper wings that you can ask for.

Unique to Pizza Crosta is their “Dipping Sauce Bar” that allows those who don’t normally eat the crust to choose from any of the six complimentary sauces for dipping and enjoy the crust much more. Don’t forget the drinks! There is a select list of wines to complement your meal as well as local beers on tap, and of course, some kid-friendly options with the Coca-Cola Freestyle soda fountain.

An exhibition of artwork from local artist, Alex Leopold, is featured inside Pizza Crosta. They’re available for purchase if anyone is interested in one of his pieces. Sam is open to suggestions regarding the art in the interior and invites inquiries from local artists if he/she wants to display their work at an alternate venue.
