Georgia football fans are criticizing a new $20 monthly subscription requirement for the program’s full cinematic game-highlight films.

The discussion followed Georgia’s 63-3 win over Tennessee State on September 5. The program promoted a short teaser on social media and directed viewers to Glory Glory for the complete “Victory Highlights” film. Access requires a membership beginning at $20 per month, according to WSB-TV’s September 9 report.

Why fans objected
Several fans said the cinematic recaps had previously been part of the free postgame experience and argued that tickets, parking, merchandise and other costs already make supporting the team expensive. Others noted that ordinary game clips and third-party highlight packages remain available without a Glory Glory membership.
The criticism is directed at the decision to reserve the full produced film for members, not at a total disappearance of free game coverage.

What Glory Glory offers
Georgia Athletics introduced Glory Glory in February as an independent, fan-focused platform offering exclusive content and access connected to UGA athletics. The school’s announcement described the project as a way to deepen fan engagement, while the Glory Glory website markets memberships and Georgia-related content.
Neither Georgia Athletics nor Glory Glory had announced a change to the highlight policy as of publication.
