Various Activities Lead Up to Monday’s Championship Game Downtown

By Rick Limpert @RickRoswell · On January 4, 2018

College football’s biggest game is finally set. And, AT&T has a lot planned between now and kickoff. AT&T joins the fray as a College Football Playoff National Championship as presenting sponsor. Catch the game on ESPN Monday, Jan. 8, at 7 p.m. CT.

Even if you don’t have tickets to be inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Monday Night, here are some other special events planned for the next few days:

A blast from the past on the Audience Network

AT&T AUDIENCE® Network will premiere a new exclusive documentary, “Big Man Back on Campus,” on Friday, Jan. 5, at 8 p.m. ET. Watch as a former football star from each of this year’s College Football Playoff (CFP) schools returns to visit their former teams in advance of the CFP semifinals.

Three-day tailgate party in downtown Atlanta

We’re also on site helping to transform the city’s downtown into Championship Campus Jan 6-8. It’s a 3-day tailgate party you won’t want to miss. You can get autographs from football legends, play games, check out some exhibits and more. A highlight of Championship Campus is Playoff Fan Central at Building A of the Georgia World Congress Center. There, you’ll find ESPN personality Scott Van Pelt’s office, which we’ve transformed into the AT&T Virtual Escape Room. Think you can you find your way out?

Must-see concerts at Centennial Olympic Park

Plus, the ultimate soundtrack to college football, the AT&T Playoff Playlist Live! concert series, is back. The free live music event kicks off in Centennial Olympic Park with performances by Jason Derulo and Charlie Puth on Saturday, Jan. 6, along with special guest Lizzo. Then, The Chainsmokers will headline Sunday, Jan. 7, with additional performances by Bebe Rexha and Spencer Ludwig. On game day, Jan. 8, Darius Rucker will headline the pregame event, along with opening act Brett Young on the Capital One Quicksilver® Music Stage leading up to kickoff. Can’t be there in person? No problem. Livestream all the performances will be available.

We are all fans, and  we couldn’t be more excited for Monday’s College Football Playoff National Championship Presented by AT&T. Hopefully, see you at the game!
