Home Depot is Hiring 700 People for Atlanta Distribution Center

By Jeremy Jones @GAFollowers · On December 18, 2020

LOCUST GROVE, Ga. — A new Home Depot distribution center is now open in Henry County and the company is hiring 700 positions.

The 657,600 square-foot center opened off Highway 42 in Locust Grove earlier this week.

Home Depot is hiring for all kinds of roles and applications are up on their websites. Those who are interested in applying can go to careers.homedepot.com and search for Locust Grove, GA.

The Atlanta-based company says the centers are part of its $1.2 billion investment toward its distribution and delivery services.

The Locust Grove location is expected to be one of 150 new supply chain facilities nationwide, including several in metro Atlanta.

The goal is to replenish supplies at stores across the southeast, faster. Home Depot wants to reach 90-percent of the U.S. with same-day or next-day delivery.

“Our ability to adapt and scale to this high-demand environment is a testament to both the investments we’ve made in the business, as well as our associates’ focus on our customers,” said Paul Larkin, vice president of supply chain.
