The National Weather Service issued a flash-flood warning for parts of metro Atlanta on Saturday morning, with the warning scheduled to last until 1:15 p.m.
The 7:12 a.m. bulletin covers Clayton and DeKalb counties, central Fulton, southwestern Gwinnett, northwestern Henry and central Rockdale. NWS cited heavy rain detected by radar and estimated 1–3 inches had fallen, with another 2–3 inches possible.
NWS said flash flooding was ongoing or expected to begin shortly. That does not establish that every neighborhood or road in the warned area is flooded.
A separate warning issued at 5:43 a.m. covers southwestern Henry, northwestern Lamar, Pike and Spalding through 11:45 a.m. The two warnings cover different areas and have different end times.
Both are dated bulletins. Check the latest official alerts for changes.
