The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for the Ochlockonee River near Thomasville at US 84, with minor flooding forecast from late Saturday into next week.
The warning covers the river in Thomas and Grady counties. It begins at 11 p.m. Saturday, October 10, and runs through Wednesday afternoon, according to the NWS Tallahassee bulletin issued at 9:05 p.m. Friday.
The bulletin’s 8:45 p.m. Friday observation put the river at 10.7 feet, below its 15-foot flood stage. NWS forecast a rise above flood stage late Saturday and a crest near 17.8 feet early Monday.
Those are a dated observation and a forecast, rather than a report of current flooding across either county. Check the latest official warning for changes.
