Satisfy Your Mexican Food Cravings at De Allende Mexican Kitchen and Tequila Bar

By Rick Limpert @RickRoswell · On October 25, 2018

The latest restaurant opening at The Outlet Shoppes of Atlanta is De Allende Mexican Kitchen and Tequila Bar.

It’s delicious Mexican aimed at not only shoppers, but those looking for delicious Mexican food to stimulate your taste buds. The authentic Mexican restaurant is owned by Lupe and Paloma Fuentes, an Atlanta-based couple who were inspired by the “magical” Mexican town of San Miguel de Allende in developing this new restaurant concept, which will open Friday, October 26. Paloma Fuentes, who will be the head chef, looks forward to welcoming shoppers into the colorful restaurant modeled after the Mexican town’s scenic streets and featuring some of its signature dishes.

“This has been a dream of Lupe’s and mine for years,” said co-owner Paloma Fuentes. “We can’t wait for everyone at The Outlet Shoppes at Atlanta to stop in and try out some of our favorite Mexican dishes or just take a break from shopping with our house-made chips and salsa accompanied by our signature drink – the ’Cantarito.’”

The décor, by Atlanta-based RBC Designs, features a mix of Mexican-inspired colors and industrial accents. Diners can expect an intimate atmosphere throughout, a climate-controlled outdoor patio with both ceiling fans and dropdown heaters, and a lounge area where you can unwind with a cocktail or beer. De Allende Mexican Kitchen and Tequila Bar’s drink menu includes margaritas made to order using fresh ingredients, draft beer and more than 50 varieties of tequila and mezcal. All of the food is made in-house from scratch, including the organic blue corn, non-GMO tortillas made daily through a special process called nixtamalization, by a team led by Chef Paloma Fuentes. Fuentes is a graduate of Chattahoochee Technical College and studied Culinary arts, while also taking various courses on Mexican cuisine. She has been in the restaurant business since 2013.

The official Grand Opening celebration will kick off at 11 am on Friday, October 26, with a ribbon cutting ceremony, accompanied by a live mariachi band. They will be giving out 20 gift cards, each worth $10, and the first 50 people in line will receive a free goody bag from The Outlet Shoppes at Atlanta.

Menu specialties include Sopes, Tacos De Papa, Chile Relleno, and many more. De Allende Mexican Kitchen and Tequila Bar will be located across from Brooks Brothers and next to 50 East Shoes. Hours of operation are Monday – Thursday from 11 am to 10 pm, Friday and Saturday from 11 am to 11 pm and Sunday from 11 am to 9 pm. The restaurant will seat 84 inside and 42 outside. Catering and takeout are available, and the restaurant can be found on Uber Eats for delivery. For more information and to view the full menu, visit www.deallendekitchen.com.
