If you haven’t been to either a men’s or women’s Kennesaw State basketball game this season, you are missing out.
Case in point, the Lady Owls are 10-2 after a 61-60 victory on Monday over a Big East foe in Xavier.
The men may only be 4-9, but the tough early season schedule should prepare this improving squad for the Atlantic Sun Conference season. The men lost out at the end on Saturday falling 67-65 to a tough Elon team.
Saturday’s doubleheader was exciting and well attended, but the Kennesaw State athletic department led by AD, Vaughn Williams is doing a great job attracting alums and students to games.
Monday’s games are the last before the Christmas break and the holiday theme was evident throughout the Kennesaw State Convocation Center.
Mascot Scrappy was dressed as “Scrappy Claus” and the cheerleaders and dance team were wearing their ugly Christmas sweaters.
It was officially “Ugly Christmas Sweater” day in Kennesaw and the first 500 fans were given “nice looking” Kennesaw State ugly Christmas sweaters.
I like these promotions that Kennesaw State does to bring the fans out.
