The Clarkston Community Center
The Clarkston Community Center will host its first-ever Valentine’s Papermaking workshop for adults on Saturday, Feb. 10, from 5-7 p.m. Adults are invited to make their own handmade paper from recycled cotton and linen rags, and then create one-of-a-kind Valentine cards. Tickets are $20 and include a glass of wine, a variety of chocolates, a handmade heart pin and all materials for papermaking.
“This is a perfect event for friends, sweethearts and single adults, too,” said Cindy Bowden, executive director of the Clarkston Community Center. “Staff members will be on hand to assist with the papermaking, and then the participants can be as creative as they want to be with their cards. The evening also will be a fun way for family and friends to celebrate a special event like a birthday or upcoming wedding.”
The Clarkston Community Center is located at 3701 College Ave. in Clarkston, Ga. and free parking is available onsite. Participants must purchase a ticket in advance at www.clarkstoncommunitycenter.org.
